Code of Conduct & Ethics
The standards of integrity, respect and professional behaviour expected from everyone connected with FCO.
All individuals representing or participating in FCO activities are expected to act with honesty, dignity, respect and responsibility. This code applies to employees, volunteers, interns, board members, partners and representatives.
Integrity and Transparency
Decisions, records, reports and communication must be honest and accurate. Assessment outcomes, program results and organisational information must never be manipulated, misstated or selectively presented to create a false impression.
Respect and Non-Discrimination
Everyone is treated with respect regardless of gender, religion, caste, language, region, disability, socioeconomic background or academic performance. Discrimination in any form is not acceptable.
Anti-Harassment and Anti-Bullying
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, humiliation and any form of abusive behaviour — in person or online — are prohibited. Concerns may be raised through our Grievance & Complaints Policy and are handled confidentially.
Professional Behaviour
- Act courteously with students, parents, educators, institutions and colleagues
- Meet commitments and communicate honestly about what is possible
- Follow safeguarding requirements in every student-facing activity
- Keep organisational and student information confidential
Conflict of Interest
Any personal, family, financial or professional interest that could influence an FCO decision must be disclosed. The individual concerned should not participate in decisions where such a conflict exists.
Responsible Use of Funds and Resources
Funds, equipment, data and other organisational resources are used only for legitimate FCO purposes, with appropriate records maintained, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
Representing FCO
- No unauthorised commitments may be made on behalf of FCO
- The FCO name, logo and branding must not be misused
- No false or exaggerated claims may be made about FCO programs, approvals, affiliations or outcomes
- Assessment outcomes must never be influenced or manipulated for any individual or institution
Ethical Digital Behaviour
Digital communication, content and technology use must be respectful, lawful and appropriate for an education-focused organisation working with students, and must follow our AI & Responsible Technology Use Policy.
Raising a Concern
Suspected breaches of this code may be reported to support@fcofoundation.org. Reports made in good faith are treated confidentially and without retaliation.
