Refund, Cancellation & Payment Policy

How payments, cancellations and refunds are handled for FCO programs, assessments and paid services.

Policy Version: 1.0Effective Date: September 2026Last Updated: September 2026

This policy applies to registration fees and other payments collected for FCO Assessment Foundation programs, assessments and services, where such fees apply. Program-specific conditions are published with the relevant program.

Registration Fees

Some programs and assessments may involve a registration or participation fee. Where a fee applies, the amount and what it covers are stated on the relevant program or registration page before payment.

Payment Confirmation

A payment is treated as complete only when it is confirmed by the payment gateway and reflected against the registration. A confirmation is sent to the email or phone number provided at registration. Where a payment is debited but not confirmed, contact us with the transaction reference.

Cancellation

A participant may request cancellation of a paid registration before the applicable cut-off for that program. [Cancellation cut-off to be specified according to the applicable program.]

Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on the specific program, the stage at which cancellation is requested, and any costs already incurred. [Refund eligibility to be specified according to the applicable program.] Program-specific refund conditions are published with the program and may be updated by FCO administrators.

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Where the participant has already taken part in the assessment or program
  • Where cancellation is requested after the published cut-off for that program
  • Where a registration is cancelled due to a breach of integrity or conduct rules
  • Any other situation clearly stated as non-refundable for that program

Duplicate Payments and Failed Transactions

Duplicate payments made for the same registration are returned to the original payment method after verification. Where a transaction fails but an amount is debited, it is usually reversed automatically by the bank or payment gateway; if it is not, contact us with the transaction reference and date.

Payment Gateway Issues

Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways operating under their own terms. Delays caused by a bank or gateway are outside FCO's direct control, though we assist with verification and follow-up.

Cancellation or Postponement by FCO

If FCO cancels a paid program, or postpones it in a way that a registered participant cannot accommodate, the participant may request a transfer to a future program or a refund of the applicable fee. [Refund terms for FCO-initiated cancellation to be specified according to the applicable program.]

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method. [Refund processing timeline to be specified according to the applicable program.] Additional time may be required by the bank or payment gateway to credit the amount.
