Donation & Fund Utilization Policy

How donations are received, recorded, acknowledged and used, and how donor information is handled.

Policy Version: 1.0Effective Date: September 2026Last Updated: September 2026

FCO Assessment Foundation may receive donations and voluntary contributions in support of its educational programs. This policy explains how such contributions are handled.

Donations and Voluntary Contributions

Donations are voluntary and may be made through the payment options available on the website or other channels notified by FCO. Contributions are accepted in line with applicable Indian laws and regulations.

Donor Information

Donor details are collected only to process the contribution, issue a receipt, meet record-keeping requirements and communicate about the use of funds where appropriate. Donor information is handled under our Privacy Policy and is not sold. A donor may request that their name not be published.

Donation Receipts

A receipt or acknowledgement is issued for donations received, based on the details provided by the donor. Donors should ensure that the details submitted at the time of donation are accurate.

Fund Utilization

Donations are utilised according to the organisation's stated objectives and applicable legal requirements. Funds may be applied to:

  • Assessment and student development programs
  • Educational awareness and school outreach activities
  • Program materials, technology and delivery costs
  • Reasonable administrative and operational expenses required to run the programs

Transparency and Records

Records of contributions and their utilisation are maintained, and accounts are prepared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Donor Communication

Donors may receive updates about programs and the impact of contributions. A donor may opt out of such communication at any time.

Refund or Return of Donations

Donations are generally not refundable once processed. Where a donation is made in error, is a duplicate, or involves an incorrect amount, the donor may contact us promptly and the matter is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

Tax Treatment

Any tax treatment of a donation depends on the specific donation, the applicable legal provisions and the organisation's status at that time. FCO does not make any general claim of tax benefit, and donors should confirm applicability independently.
